Happy Locktober! We can't help but feel a personal connection to this holiday for obvious reasons! If you're not familiar with Locktober, let us explain. What is Locktober? It's the most wonderful tiiiiiiiime of the year! Locktober coincides with the kink community’s high holiday, Kinktober. No matter which you observe, both of these annual celebrations dovetail into the perfect crescendo, boiling down to the same common goal of exploring new ways to engage in safe, consensual, risk aware kink. (Or whichever philosophy you prefer.)  The way we see it, “kinky” is just another word for “creative” - and Locktober/Kinktober is the PERFECT opportunity to give chastity a try. Every year, Locktober marks an entire month - 31 days - of staying locked in a chastity device. However, we know that staying locked in long-term chastity can be a work-in-progress. Whether your record is 31 minutes, 31 days or longer, we are rooting you on to step outside of your comfort zone and incorporate a little extra time in your chastity cage and different ways to self-stimulate when your cock is locked this month.  How CB-X is Celebrating Locktober 2024 1: Today, we welcome GLOWTOBER to the mix as we announce the launch of our brand spankin’ new chastity cage collection, Lunar Lockdown! Locktober is the 31-day chastity challenge where self-control meets creativity. Many chastity wearers report that the first half of the month is about finding your rhythm, pushing limits without burning out, and learning how to channel frustration into focus. Weeks 3 and 4 are when Locktober shifts from "novelty challenge" into more hardcore endurance training. Important things to know about the CB-X Locktober Challenge: If this is your first Locktober, these beginner-friendly chastity games work whether you're locked for a few hours, a few days, or the full month. Our focus for Locktober is mindfulness. All chastity activities are designed to make you more aware of the cage during your day-to-day routine, building mental discipline and intentionality. The goal is to connect your Locktober practice to bigger themes like patience, control, and delayed gratification. A Keyholder or partner isn't required to participate; you can modify all activities to fit your lifestyle. Locktober Activities for Weeks 1-2 Week 1 The Stopwatch Sit: Stay locked on a hard chair for 20 minutes without shifting. Discomfort builds mental endurance and teaches you to sit with frustration instead of trying to fix it. Hands Off Challenge: Watch 10 minutes of your favorite X-rated clip. Then go take a cold shower. No touching. Controlled exposure to temptation strengthens resistance and proves you can handle arousal without acting on it. Mirror Check: Spend 5 minutes caged in front of a mirror repeating: "I'm stronger than my urges." Verbal affirmations rewire your internal dialogue and reinforce self-discipline. Ice Cube Hold: Hold an ice cube in each hand until they melt completely. Cold focus redirects blood flow and mental energy. Cage Inspection Ritual: Examine your chastity device for fit, hygiene, and comfort. Clinical assessment mode might extinguish any sexual charge. Chastity Workout: 20 squats and 20 push-ups while locked. Movement forces your brain to focus on form and breathing, not desperation. The Timer Test: Lie perfectly still for 10 minutes with no lower-body touching. Stillness training amplifies awareness of your body's signals without giving in to them. Week 2 Key in the Freezer: Freeze your key in a block of ice. You can access it if you truly need it, but not impulsively. Timed Edging (Mental Only): Set a timer for 5 minutes. Think about whatever turns you on most, but don't touch anything. Train your mind to handle arousal without relief. Cold Shower Challenge: Take a 3-minute cold shower while locked. The shock can reset your nervous system and quickly kill urgency. Keyholder Letter: Write a detailed letter to your Keyholder (real or imaginary) explaining why you're doing this challenge. Articulating your "why" will strengthen your commitment. Locked Yoga Session: Follow a 15-minute yoga video while locked. Stretching, breathing, and focus can help override a horny brain. Progress Journal Entry: Write 3 things you've noticed about your self-control today. Document the mental shift, not just the physical restriction. Public Outing: Run a normal errand (grocery store, coffee shop) while locked. The secret adds psychological intensity without anyone knowing. Bonus points if you wear the tightest material you've got. Chastity Device Upgrades For experienced wearers ready to level up during Weeks 3 and 4: Consider our Points of Intrigue (internal sensory spikes) or Anti-Pullout Device (tighter fit) to make the cage impossible to ignore during any movement or arousal. If you're trying one for the first time, start in shorter sessions to ensure proper fit. Always prioritize hygiene, take breaks to check circulation, and listen to your body above all! These accessories for CB-X chastity cages intensify the mental challenge significantly, but they require honest self-assessment about your limits and responsible use. Locktober Activities for Weeks 3-4 The second half of Locktober is less about novelty and more about endurance. Every skipped urge is a win. You've proven you can stay locked this long; now prove you can finish what you started. Week 3 Key in the Hole: Carry your key in your pocket all day but don't touch it. The weight = a reminder of control. Staircase Squeeze: Find a set of stairs. Walk up, pause halfway, and clench your pelvic muscles 10 times. Repeat. Silent Alarm: Set a phone alarm for a random time. Title it something like "Stay Locked." When it goes off, take one minute to breathe and repeat an affirmation. Caged Stretch: Hold a deep forward bend for 60 seconds, and notice how the cage shifts against your body. PM Reflection: Before sleep, write down one moment today when the cage reminded you why you're doing this. Coffee Shop Sit: Spend 30 minutes working or reading at a coffee shop (or a bar) while locked. The mundane setting makes the secret more intense. Mind Tease: Read a piece of erotic fiction and practice resisting your body's response. Week 4 Keyholder Fantasy Script: Write a short "scene" as if your dream Keyholder gave you orders. Read it to yourself before bed. 30-Minute Task: Pick a household chore you hate. Do it locked, no breaks, until it's complete. Locked Breathing: Practice deep breathing with one hand over your cage. Notice tension rise and fall without acting on it. Sunrise or Sunset Sit: Watch the entire sunrise or sunset (without your phone!) and notice nature's slow transition. Be patient. Be present. Public Transit Ride: Take a bus, Uber, or train ride for at least 3 stops while locked. The vibrations and stops create constant awareness without you controlling the pace. Aisle Endurance: Go grocery shopping while locked. Pick up at least 5 items from different aisles. The mundane errand becomes a subtle endurance test. Final Night Tease: On October 31, take a long hot shower while locked. Reflect on what 31 days has taught you. The Long Game Keep in mind, these challenges aren't impossible! The first two weeks of Locktober are setting the foundation. They're designed to keep you locked, engaged, and mindful while your cage does its work. Stay disciplined, use the toolkit, and repeat your affirmations as needed. The payoff will be worth it on October 31. Tools for Locktober 10 Locktober Chastity Affirmations: I am stronger than temporary discomfort. Challenging moments help me discover resilience. I can sit with uncomfortable feelings without escape. My commitment matters more than a passing urge. I've handled worse before, and I can handle this now. Discomfort is temporary, but the confidence I build lasts. Each locked day is proof I can master myself. Frustration is fuel for growth. Restraint is not weakness; it's strength. I finish what I start. Distraction: 10 Mind Over Cage Tips: Move your body. Exercise redirects energy. Cold shower reset. Five minutes under cold water ends the bargaining spiral. Journaling. Write down the frustration—naming it weakens it. Swap cravings. Redirect horny energy into chores or tasks. Play with toys: Not those kinds of toys. A puzzle or game keeps your hands busy and your mind off your cage. Cold compress: A quick press to the thighs beats edging yourself into trouble! Meditation timer: Listen to guided chastity audio to pull your focus away from your groin. Creative outlet: Sketch, cook, or build something. Busy hands, clear mind. Community check-in: Post your progress in the Locktober Reddit thread or message a fellow cage-wearer for accountability. Future fantasy: Write a detailed plan for your 11/1 release day ritual. Let anticipation motivate you, not distract you. Check In What's been your most challenging Locktober activity so far?
